epodes of the eye
Bit of a play on the Epodes of Horace (blame poetry), the mythical Horus and a mash-up with Ra. According to the myth, Horus's eye is dispersed into six parts after a nasty bit of business with his uncle, but then Thoth intervenes and brings about a healing and reassembly. Now Ra never lost his eyes, but did cry great tears to bring about humans and everything else blameworthy. So things have been given a musical twist, music being a soothing balm and healing is a theme here. The hangings also contain surgical instruments from the early 20th century and laboratory glassware (can't forget drugs) from the mid 20th century.
